Larry D. Groskreutz, CPA
Larry graduated from Fort Lauderdale University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1970. He has practiced public accounting for 40 years and has been a partner in the firm since 1978. He specializes in individual, estate, partnership and corporate tax planning and preparation, and provides investment advisory services. Over the years, he has provided extensive tax and planning services to the farmers of the community. He manages the Naples, Florida and Cullom, Illinois offices.
Larry has contributed to the community in many ways. For nine years, he was a part-time accounting instructor at Kankakee Community College. He is a past president of Trinity Lutheran Church, Exchange Club of Kankakee and the Northern Illinois Exchange Club District. He has also served as president of the Bradley-Bourbonnais Little League and Kankakee County FEMA Board. He has served on the boards of the Kankakee County United Way, Helen Wheeler Mental Health Center, Kankakee Symphony Orchestra, Bradley-Bourbonnais Pony League, Kankakee Chamber Orchestra, Kankakee County Drug Free, Inc. and Hundred Club of Kankakee County.
Larry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, the Florida Institute of CPAs and the Pelican Bay Kiwanis of Naples.
M J (Abe) Abraham, CPA
Abe is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 20 years of progressive accounting, audit and tax experience. He has been practicing public accounting with the Firm since 1986 and was admitted to the partnership in 2009.
Abe is the engagement partner on audits of many of the Firm’s not-for-profits, governments and employee benefit plans. He also serves as a Firm resource on quality control standards and issues. In addition to the auditing services, Abe also specializes in accounting and taxation services for small businesses and individuals. He believes in helping clients reach their business and personal goals by sound application of business and accounting principles.
Abe obtained his certification of public accounting in 1986 while attending Governors State University and earning a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in accounting in 1989. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University. Prior to joining the Firm, Abe worked for seven years in the health care industry as a Registered Nurse.
Abe is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. He has been actively involved on his church’s advisory committee and other activities with his wife and two children. Abe seeks to achieve a balance between his career and the call to serve God and his family.
Amy Eshleman, CPA
Amy has been practicing public accounting with the Firm since 1991. She started with the firm as an intern during the tax season and became a full-time employee following tax season. Then, she earned her CPA certificate in the spring of 1992. In 2006, Amy became a manager of the Firm and was admitted to the partnership in 2009.
Amy oversees the bookkeeping and payroll departments of the firm. She has been an integral part of implementing the consistent procedures for those departments. Amy’s areas of expertise also include auditing and income tax preparation and planning.
Amy earned a Business Associate degree from Kankakee Community College and transferred to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Amy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.
Dale L. Gerretse, CPA
Dale has been actively involved in providing tax compliance, tax planning and accounting advisory services to businesses and individuals for almost 30 years. He works with local non-profit and governmental entities with their accounting, tax compliance and auditing needs.
Prior to joining the firm in 1988, Dale practiced public accounting in Chicago and the suburbs. He spent several years as the controller of a closely held manufacturing corporation. Dale draws on his diverse experience to help clients navigate through the financial challenges they encounter.
Dale is a lifelong resident of Kankakee County. He volunteers for many community and church organizations. He is a past board member of Options Center for Independent Living, a member of Business Network International, Kiwanis Club of Kankakee and Hundred Club of Kankakee County. Dale taught as an adjunct professor of accounting at Olivet Nazarene University.
Dale received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois State University in 1981. He earned his Certified Public Accounting certification in 1981. Dale is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.
